Our Approach to MID

At RSA we have chosen to develop our own website to capture vehicle data directly from policyholders. We will then send data on to the MID on your behalf. In order to allow all interested parties access to our site, we have created three slightly different versions, with different access routes:

1. Policyholders - the version of the site that you are currently logged into has been designed specifically for use by our commercial motor policyholders. Your User ID and Password will allow you to view and amend your vehicle schedule, and so easily fulfil your legal obligations.
   
   
2. Intermediaries - all of our broker partners are able to view and amend the vehicle schedule of any policy where they are the policyholder's nominated representative.
   
   
3. RSA Staff - all RSA staff involved in the underwriting of commercial motor business, as well as those working on our MID Phase II Web Helpdesk, will be able to access our web pages.

It is your responsibility to ensure that the necessary information relating to your vehicle schedule (see 'Information We Need' page) is supplied. We are happy either for you to supply the relevant information yourself, or for your broker to supply it on your behalf, using their own security access details. Any policyholder arranging for a third party to provide vehicle details on their behalf does so at their own discretion, and is still required to ensure that data is submitted via our website.

We would ask that you take time to read the explanatory notes contained within this site and your Policyholder Information Pack, and decide how you can best submit the necessary data.
